Year 2021
We ran a virtual discovery workshop to find out more about the issues LAW was having with their site, both from a user perspective and their internal administrators. We also touched on branding; gaining insight into how they felt about the existing logomark and colours, and what they wanted to see from the rebrand project in order to understand and set expectations.
While Emma worked on the rebranding, I worked on reworking their information architecture to bring the right content to the fore and guide users to their intended destinations. The aim was to improve visibility and discoverability of the work LAW does around the world.
Once the wireframes and branding had been signed off, I worked on applying these new ideas to the interface design. I worked closely with Emma to make sure my designs were aligned with the new branding, deciding on icons, illustration styles, font pairings and colour application. Having regular touchpoints with both client and developer for visibility of designs and to make sure we were working within our development budget and timeline.
This project went live in July 2021. One of the key goals was to build an easy to use CMS for the LAW team so they could update the site frequently with important content and news.
